We got a call from Uncle Jeremia on Friday afternoon asking for our address. On a whim he had flown into Salt Lake for the weekend and so he came to visit us on Saturday. The kids were so excited to have him here!!! They totally mauled him all day long! I did tell him that the cure for that is to bring his kids with him. We love family!!!! As for the rest of our siblings, our door is open!!!!! Come and see us!
Hi, My name is Samantha Hammond and my son Caiden was diagnosed with at/rt on September 17th, 2010, he was 16 months old. Since then I've been taking care of him and have been looking for other families battling this horrible disease. I was hoping to connect with you to trade stories and gain insight to other options/protocols and see whats working.
ReplyDeleteCaiden is currently doing the Head Start II protocol with stem cell transplant and his oncologist is considering adding radiation in April. If you don't mind me asking, what was your protocol and/or radiation dose and how old was your child when they got it? Also, was it protons and how did they do cognitively/physically with it?
I have to say I am terrified of the radiation and the progression of the cancer without it. Because Caidens tumor was in the parietal lobe my oncologist is afraid that radiation could really hurt him cognitively.
I hope to hear back from you. You could really help one more families battle.
